VCA join hands with Cabaret Flamenco



“Viva Communauté Art”(VCA) is proud to be the service provider for “Cabaret Flamenco de Montréal”.

OVERVIEW

Establishing an organisational structure to host the performance event to encourage developing flamenco artists.

GOALS
  • Philosophies and principles for “Cabaret Flamenco de Montréal” (CFDM). 
  • Identifying major hurdles faced in carrying out a “smooth” hosting of the event. 
  • Have a good knowledge about current organisational system for this event. 
  • Requirements needed for hosting “Cabaret Flamenco” event.
MILESTONES

Establish principles, philosophies for long term sustainability  

Discuss the vision, foundation rules, policies and principles of Cabaret Flamenco de Montreal.
Identifying key benefits of this project to local art communities and artists.
  • CFDM events are “not for profit” to developing artists, emerging artists and artists but it will be “for profit” to established and part-time established artists.
  • CFDM’s primary objective is to promote skills of developing and emerging flamenco artists and facilitate organizational work for established and part-time established artists.
  • Developing artists are people who do not make a living out of performance and teaching.
  • Emerging artists are people who have a strong intention making a living out of performing and teaching the artform. 
  • Part-time established artists are people who have a good record of performing for more 10 years locally, nationally and internationally but do not make a living out of performing and teaching the artform.
  • Established artists are people who have a good record of performing for more 10 years locally, nationally and internationally and make a living out of performance and teaching the artform.   
LONG TERM PLAN
Drawing a plan for the organisational structure on how to make “Cabaret Flamenco” event self sustainable.
This includes research on funding options, audience market and artists reach.
  • Establishing a proper price model, book-keeping system for revenue management. 
  • Establishing transparent and secure financial system for money tracking. 
  • Establishing collaborative scheduling tools for Venues, Artists and Volunteers.
  • Establishing communication tools for audience, artists, volunteers and organizer circle.

Collaboration Over Competition

We need to realize the truth: the more that something is created, the more abundance of that thing exists! For a healthy vibrant community to flourish it is vital to adopt this mindset.
